Welcome — I’m Cat. Born and bred in Ireland. Now in my mid‑fifties, divorced, independent, curious, still learning – I’m increasingly aware that many people in society now see me as ‘old’. Far from being in denial about ageing, I believe it’s the self-limiting beliefs we hold about ourselves – about what’s still possible at this stage of life and beyond – that can hold us back from living the life we truly want.
Midlife isn’t a turning inward to shrink yourself. It’s a turning inward to reflect on what you’ve learned so far — a clearing of noise and clutter to make room for what truly matters, and every day is a chance for a new beginning — Tús Nua in Irish. If you already have that life, that’s great and maybe this isn’t the blog for you. However, if you’re thinking, “It’s too late for me,” yet still long for a life that fully aligns with who you are, then you’re in the right place.
These posts are about reflecting on what I’ve learned so far, and by sharing my experiences, I hope you may find something that you resonate with. We will always face challenges along the road, so my only wish is that you meet yourself with compassion and continue discovering what truly brings you joy along the way.
I’ll also share my seeds for thought, along with the occasional quote, poem, and link you may enjoy.
